(+)-脱落酸(Abscisic Acid, ABA),别名:脱落素(Abscisin),休眠素(Dormin)。一种抑制生长的植物激素,因能促使叶子脱落而得名。可能广泛分布于高等植物。除促使叶子脱落外尚有其他作用,如使芽进入休眠状态、促使马铃薯形成块茎等。对细胞的延长也有抑制作用。对种子萌发及马铃薯发芽的抑制作用。此外,(+)-脱落酸的作用也与细胞分裂素相反,(+)-脱落酸在植物体内既有拮抗赤霉素的作用,也有拮抗细胞分裂素的作用。
(+)-脱落酸与生长素、乙烯、赤霉素、细胞分裂素并列为植物五大激素,它可以提高植物的抗旱和耐盐力,对开发利用中低产田以及植树造林、绿化沙漠等有极高的价值。(+)-脱落酸还是抑制种子萌发的有效抑制剂,因此可以用于种子贮藏,保证种子、果实的贮藏质量。此外,ABA还能引起叶片气孔的迅速关闭,可用于花的保鲜、调节花期、促进生根等,在花卉园艺上有较大的应用价值。
(+)-Abscisic Acid (ABA), also known as Abscisin or Dormin, is a plant hormone that inhibits growth, named for its ability to induce leaf abscission. It is likely widely distributed in higher plants. Besides leaf abscission, it has other effects, such as inducing bud dormancy and promoting tuber formation in potatoes. It also inhibits cell elongation and seed germination and potato sprouting. Furthermore, (+)-Abscisic acid's effects are opposite to those of cytokinin; it antagonizes both gibberellin and cytokinin in plants.
(+)-Abscisic Acid, along with auxin, ethylene, gibberellin, and cytokinin, is considered one of the five major plant hormones. It can improve plant drought and salt tolerance, and is of great value for developing and utilizing low- and medium-yield farmland, afforestation, and desert greening. (+)-Abscisic Acid (ABA) is an effective inhibitor of seed germination, thus it can be used for seed storage to ensure the quality of stored seeds and fruits. Furthermore, ABA can cause rapid closure of leaf stomata, which can be used for flower preservation, regulating flowering time, and promoting rooting, making it valuable in floriculture and horticulture.
1: Growth Inhibition and Promotion. High concentrations of externally applied (+)-Abscisic Acid inhibit the growth of stems, hypocotyls, roots, coleoptiles, or leaves. Low concentrations promote rooting of detached cucumber cotyledons and elongation of hypocotyls, accelerate duckweed reproduction, and stimulate parthenocarpic seed development.
2: Maintaining Bud and Seed Dormancy. Dormancy is related to the balance between gibberellins and (+)-Abscisic Acid in the body.

4: Promoting Stomatal Closure. (+)-Abscisic Acid can cause rapid stomata closure and is non-toxic to plants, making it an excellent antitranspirant. One biological test for (+)-Abscisic acid concentration involves floating detached leaf epidermis on the surface of (+)-Abscisic acid solutions of various concentrations. Within a certain range, the degree of stomatal opening and closing is inversely proportional to the (+)-Abscisic acid concentration.
5: Affects flowering. Under long-day conditions, (+)-Abscisic acid can induce dormancy in the terminal buds of strawberries and blackberries, promoting flowering.
6: Affects sexual differentiation. Gibberellins can induce male flowers in female cannabis plants; this effect can be reversed by (+)-Abscisic acid, but (+)-Abscisic acid cannot induce female flowers in male plants.
