Product Introduction
2,3-Dimethyl-2,3-diphenylbutane (DMDPB) is primarily utilized as an eco-friendly, halogen-free flame retardant synergist for expandable polystyrene (EPS) and high-impact polystyrene (HIPS), effectively reducing the dosage of brominated flame retardants while enhancing fire retardancy. Thanks to its unique carbon-carbon (C-C) thermal cleavage mechanism, DMDPB also serves as a highly efficient high-temperature free radical initiator and crosslinking agent for polyolefins (such as PE and PP), a grafting catalyst, and a polymer rheology modifier to improve thermal stability and processing flowability.
