Applications:
Aluminium Chloride Hexahydrate is used in the treatment of industrial wastewater, mine and oilfield reinjection water, and in the purification of wastewater from papermaking, metallurgy, coal washing, leather, and various chemical industries. It is also used in the recycling of wastewater from paper sizing, printing and dyeing, cement quick-setting agents, precision casting hardeners, refractory material adhesives, glycerin refining, sugar refining, fabric wrinkle prevention, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and other industries. In the oil refining industry, Aluminium Chloride Hexahydrate is highly effective for oil-water separation. It can also be used in personal care antiperspirants, precision casting, papermaking, water purification, wood preservation, petrochemicals, wool refining, and analytical reagents.
Aluminium Chloride Hexahydrate is used in the treatment of drinking water, high-fluoride water, and industrial water; the purification of industrial wastewater, mine and oilfield reinjection water, and oily wastewater; and the treatment of wastewater from papermaking, metallurgy, coal washing, leather, and various chemical industries. It is particularly effective for treating low-temperature, low-turbidity, and slightly alkaline water. Aluminium chloride hexahydrate can also be used in paper sizing, printing and dyeing, cement accelerators, precision casting hardeners, refractory material binders, glycerin refining, sugar refining, fabric anti-wrinkle agents, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and other industries where wastewater can be recycled.
Aluminium chloride hexahydrate can be used as a hardener for precision casting mold shells. Crystalline aluminum chloride can replace ammonium chloride as a hardener for investment casting mold shells, offering advantages such as stable quality, high shell strength, convenient use and adjustment, improved worker operating conditions, and good overall economic benefits.
Currently, most precision casting production in my country uses water glass as a binder. Ammonium chloride, magnesium chloride, and aluminum chloride are commonly used as hardeners. However, during use, ammonium chloride releases ammonia gas, severely worsening working conditions; magnesium chloride's high viscosity affects hardening and drying speed. Furthermore, high impurity content easily causes defects such as shell delamination, peeling, and sand inclusions. Therefore, ammonium chloride and magnesium chloride are unsuitable as hardeners for the development of investment casting, and manufacturers have successively adopted crystalline aluminum chloride as a substitute.
Aluminium Chloride Hexahydrate is used as a wood preservative and a sizing agent in papermaking. It is a raw material for the monomer of hydrocracking catalysts in the petroleum industry. It is used in wool refining (using carbonization to remove plant fibers), aluminum hydroxide gel production, and also in the dyeing and pharmaceutical industries. Aluminum chloride is widely used as a catalyst in organic synthesis, particularly in petroleum cracking, synthetic dyes, synthetic rubber, synthetic resins, synthetic detergents, pharmaceuticals, fragrances, and pesticides.
Aluminium Chloride Hexahydrate is commonly used as a Lewis acid catalyst in organic synthesis, especially suitable for the addition reactions of alkynes.
Aluminium Chloride Hexahydrate can be used in the synthesis of dyes and dye intermediates, widely applied in the textile, printing, and leather industries.
In water treatment, Aluminium Chloride Hexahydrate can be used as a coagulant in wastewater treatment to remove suspended solids and color from water.
