BIT (1,2-Benzisothiazolin-3-one) is a novel broad-spectrum, highly effective, low-toxicity, and water-soluble industrial bactericide and preservative.

1: BIT exhibits high bactericidal efficacy and a broad antimicrobial spectrum, effective against bacteria, fungi (molds), yeasts, and algae, with high activity against common sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB).

2: BIT possesses good stability, requiring no additional stabilizers, and exhibits good compatibility, miscible with alcohols and water in any proportion and stable in the presence of amine compounds.

3: BIT is stable under both acidic and alkaline conditions, with a wide applicable pH range of 2-14.

4: BIT exhibits high thermal stability, remaining stable below 180°C and showing no changes after one year of storage at temperatures ranging from -20°C to 40°C.

5: BIT is free of heavy metals, chlorine, formaldehyde and formaldehyde releasers, inorganic salts, and halogenated compounds, has zero VOCs, and is safe and non-toxic at its application concentrations.

6: BIT demonstrates good safety and environmental performance, is biodegradable, leaves no residue, and is environmentally friendly.

BIT(1,2-苯并异噻唑-3-酮)是一种广谱、高效、低毒、水溶性好的主要的工业杀菌剂、防腐剂、防酶剂。BIT具有突出的抑制霉菌、真菌、细菌、藻类等微生物在有机介质中的滋生作用，解决了微生物滋生引起的有机产品发霉、发酵、变质、破乳、发臭等问题。因此BIT广泛用于乳胶制品、油漆涂料、水溶性树脂涂料（乳胶漆）、水性高聚物、丙烯酸聚合物、聚氨酯制品、照相洗液、造纸、油墨、皮革制品、润滑油、纺织助剂、印染、染料分散液、胶粘剂、金属切割液、合成洗涤剂等产品领域的杀菌防腐。

BIT exhibits an outstanding inhibitory effect on the growth of microorganisms such as molds, fungi, bacteria, and algae in organic media, effectively addressing issues like mildew, fermentation, spoilage, emulsion breakdown, and foul odor in organic products caused by microbial proliferation. Consequently, BIT is widely used for preservation and biocidal control in various product areas including latex products, paints and coatings, water-soluble resin coatings (latex paints), water-based polymers, acrylic polymers, polyurethane products, photographic processing solutions, papermaking, inks, leather goods, lubricating oils, textile auxiliaries, printing and dyeing, dyestuff dispersions, adhesives, metalworking fluids, synthetic detergents, and more.
