Cholagogue.

It is mainly used for gastrointestinal retention, urinary bladder retention, foetal clothing incontinence and uterine pus retention.

It can be used for post-surgical abdominal gas and distension, gastric tone deficiency and gastric retention, etc. It can be given orally before meals for patients with incomplete gastric retention and subcutaneously for patients with complete retention. It is effective for non-mechanical obstructive causes of urinary retention, and can be used for post-surgical or post-partum urinary retention, and is more effective when combined with an adrenergic receptor blocking agent to reduce the resistance to the outlet of the internal urethral sphincter. It can also be used for oral mucosal dryness.

Stronger cholinergic excitatory effect on smooth muscle. Excites M cholinergic receptors. Highly selective to the gastrointestinal tract and bladder smooth muscle, contraction effect is significant, promote fluid secretion, enhance appetite, help digestion. It can be used in cattle, sheep and other ruminants for gastrointestinal disorders such as antral retention, rumen accumulation and dryness of the large intestine. It is also effective in gastric dilatation, rumen accumulation, flatulence, constipation and conjunctivitis of equine action; and dryness of large intestine, gastrointestinal discomfort and loss of appetite caused by hyperthermia in pigs.
