1. Calcifediol is used as a food additive. Calcifediol monohydrate is a food ingredient and can be used in the formulation of processed foods, such as dairy and cereal products, as a supplemental ingredient for nutritional fortification (vitamin D supplementation). It can also be used as a stabilizer or processing aid in food processing.

2. Calcifediol is used in the pharmaceutical and feed industries. For example, it is used as an auxiliary ingredient in chemical synthesis, food additives, and feed additive production. It can also serve as a precursor for the synthesis of certain specialty chemicals. Calcifediol has therapeutic effects on osteoporosis.
