叶黄素是从万寿菊花中提取、精制的天然色素，属于类胡萝卜素。

Lutein is a natural pigment extracted and refined from marigold flowers. It belongs to the carotenoid family. Also known as "plant lutein," lutein coexists with zeaxanthin in nature and is a carotene-like pigment. It exists in various flowers in the form of an ester. It is found in large quantities in egg yolks along with zeaxanthin, and in fish eggs along with astaxanthin and β-carotene. Lutein is also found in the corpus luteum of mammalian ovaries and is a pigment that makes up canary feathers. It is a major component of plant pigments in vegetables, fruits, and flowers, and is also the primary pigment in the macula of the human retina.

Lutein's Vision-Protecting Effects:

1: Lutein, the main pigment component of the retina, protects the eyes from light damage, slows aging, and prevents eye diseases. It promotes the regeneration of rhodopsin in retinal cells.
