X-Phos is used as a ligand component in the catalytic system in coupling reactions.
X-Phos is used as a ligand in palladium-catalyzed Suzuki coupling reactions to generate C-15 analogs of vindoline; used in palladium-catalyzed direct cyclization of 2-halogenated anilines to generate indoles and tryptophan; and in the synthesis of regioregular polythiophenes. It is used as a ligand for in-depth studies of palladium-catalyzed amination and amidation reactions of aromatic sulfonates and aromatic halides.
