龙胆草中含龙胆苦甙、獐牙菜苦甙、龙月二糖、龙胆灿酮和龙胆酸等。龙胆中主含环烯醚萜苷类成分，龙胆苦苷为其中主要有效成分。龙胆苦苷具有利胆、抗炎、健胃、降压等作用。

Gentiana scabra contains gentiopicroside, swertiamarin, gentiobiose, gentisin, and gentisic acid. Gentiana scabra mainly contains iridoid glycosides, with gentiopicroside being the primary active ingredient. Gentipicroside has choleretic, anti-inflammatory, stomachic, and antihypertensive effects.

Anti-inflammatory and Analgesic Effects:

Gentiopicroside has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. It has a certain inhibitory effect on swelling in both acute and chronic inflammatory models. It can also increase the pain threshold for pain induced by heat and chemical stimulation.

Hepatoprotective and Choleretic Effects:

Gentiopicroside aqueous extract has significant hepatoprotective effects.
