Methylammonium Iodide[MAI, (CH3NH3I), cas#14965-49-2] is perovskite Precursor, it with Lead diiodide(PbI2, cas#10101-63-0) can be produced Methylammonium triiodoplumbate[MAPbI3, (CH3NH3PBI3), cas#69507-98-8], used in perovskite solar cell.


Methylamine iodide is commonly used in combination with inorganic halides to prepare lead halide perovskite solar cells. Organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite materials have excellent electrical and optoelectronic properties due to their direct band gap, high carrier mobility, large carrier diffusion length, and high absorption coefficient. They have attracted extensive research interest and are considered promising candidates for next-generation solar cell materials. Methylamine iodide, as a precursor for organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite materials, is currently used primarily in solar cells and other fields. As a key component in perovskite solar cells, it can enhance charge separation and carrier transport efficiency, and improve the cell's photoelectric conversion efficiency.
